The Saints Row series, along with the increase in the scale of what is happening, has managed to drive itself into a dead end. However, the developers from Volition have found a very original way out of this situation… and for some reason many are trying to compare it with Overwatch. You too? Then watch our video!

I don’t even understand where the idea could even come from that Agents of Mayhem is a carbon copy of Overwatch. Because the style is cartoon? Then sorry even Bad Day L.A. Can be compared to Overwatch. And as a result of the preview it is extremely interesting. I was always afraid that the game would be purely cooperative, but in the end everything turned out the other way around, which is quite strange, because co-op really suggests itself. But we’ll see what comes of it.
Most likely, these disputes in the “forums” that Agents of Mayhem is an Overwatch clone are simply due to a lack of understanding of the differences between the projects or from poverty of mind, in the good sense of the word.
It’s strange that one of the most important features of the “Saints Row” series was removed (I’m talking about Co-Op), but I hope that even without it it will be fun, varied and interesting, I believe in the project
Ahh, so this is a single player https://sistersitescasino.co.uk/casinos/this-is-vegas-casino/ open world? I was completely sure that this was a session multiplayer of one team against another! Even the trailers look like an advertisement for session multiplayer, and not like a new Saints Raw with a plot… Interesting
In this interpretation it’s much clearer. Otherwise, the original is just a clipping from a scientific article. Nevertheless, one cartoon appearance will not be enough. It could just as easily be compared to Borderlands. And to compare openly with Overwatch, even in appearance, one must either not understand the issue at all, or simply do not care about the announced game. In the sense that I looked, saw the cartoon, remembered Overwatch, moved on. But even from the first video it was clear that this would not be a multiplayer projectile.
By the way, masterxmaster also has a system for quickly changing characters, this also allows you to customize your tactics and they also look quite “specific”… only this is a MOBA (more precisely, there are also dungeons and mini-games, but we’ll leave that out)
Both games have cartoon graphics, which means there is plagiarism, isn’t it??
Just wait, soon the second Incredibles will be released and the Pixar people will be accused of theft.
Of course it will be fun, but for this game the co-op just suggests itself, a strange move from Volition, the number of potential buyers would clearly increase.
If we compare it with other games (except for the SR series itself), then the mechanics here are similar to those in the Trine series – 3 “connected” characters, between which you switch as needed – strongman-shooter/dexterity-generator/object manipulator (magician).
It’s a pity, but not much, that there is no co-op – but as with the game being compared (co-op was added to the 1st part long after the release of the 2nd), mb. developers will add this feature later.
Thanks for the lecture, just to the question “how can Agents of Mayhem and Overwatch be compared?"still no answer. The fact that I cited the visual component as an example does not mean that this is a definite answer. But this partyanka about “the meaning of being and the appearance of games” is a little out of place.
It’s more a matter of "habit". Blizzard has always stolen from everyone and brought the genre to perfection, and subsequently any product was compared with it. It’s time to get used to the fact that now all shooters are clones of Over. =)
How to get there. Imitating the visual style of a successful project, whose visual style is the main drawback, what is this if not an attempt to portray some kind of genius that must be hidden behind all this?? I don’t know why gamers fell in love with overwatch, but the answer is definitely not in appearance, I think, with the exception of individual perverts, of course.
